Cinq espèces de Démosponges, provenant des eaux superficielles de la côte méditeranéenne d’Israël, sont décrites. Parmi elles, quatre espèces nouvelles : Didiscus styliferus, Hymerhabdia pori,Hymerhabdia reichi et Mycale sanguinea. L’Eponge aberrante, Callites lacazii O. Schmidt, a été redécouverte dans les grottes sous-marines obscures et de nouvelles données sont exposées concernant sa structure et sonhabitat
