Environment The specific epithet rubrointestinalis is composed by the Latin rubro, a form of Latin adjective ruber and meaning 'red', and the Latin adjective intestinalis, meaning 'intestinal' or 'pertaining to the intestine', and refers to the red anterior half of the digestive tract, distinctive of the species. [details]
Habitat Coral rubble, muddy sand, and among algae scrapped from stones and corals, at subtidal depths. [details]
