Arachnoides placenta (oral plating)
Arachnoides placenta (oral plating)
Description Plates patterns of the oral side: The interambulacral columns (stippled) are discontinous between the single small plate in the ring next to the peristome, and the margin. The isolated distal plates are usually visible in denuded tests. b. Arachnoides placenta: The interambulacra is interupted by four to five ambulacral plates, continuing with only two distal plates. The arrangement in Arachnoides tenuis is principally the same, but the first ring of ambulacral plates is larger than the following ones towards the margin.
Scale 30 mm.
