Description Bittium impendens (Hedley, 1899), coral reefs off Kosi Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, 20–22 m (NMSA S1994), A–C, strongly sculptured specimen with more or less intact apex, outer lip slightly subadult, length 4.9 mm; D, less strongly sculptured specimen with eroded apex, outer lip fully adult, length 4.8 mm.
