Oceania armata, stalked nematocyst clusters of the mouth margin
Description Microphotograph of mouth rim (stained preparation, specimen MHNG-INE-34178 Natural History Museum of Geneva), from Villefranche-sur-Mer, France.
Note: The length of the pedicels of the nematocyst clusters is variable, it can be shorter than shown in this specimen. However, it is always clear that the nematocyst clusters are separated from the manubrium rim, unlike in Turritopsis where they are on the mouth rim.
