Lovenia elongata (aboral internal structures)
Description Internal structures of the aboral side: outer surface of the test: The muscles of the long primary spines are fixed in deeply depressed areoles around the tubercles, which form worm-shaped ampullae on the inner surface. The test itself is too thin to support these spines when the animal raises them in defence.
