Stereocidarinae (small globiferous pedicellariae)
Description Small globiferous pedicellariae of Stereocidarinae: a. Phalacrocidaris japonica: The valves with a distal tooth are slender like in tridentate pedicellariae. b. Stereocidaris sceptriferoides: The slender valve shows an end tooth. c. Stereocidaris purpurascens: There is no end tooth, the opening being subterminal. d. Stereocidaris reducta: Head of a small globiferous pedicellaria.
