Abstract: |
CASP is a not-for-profit charitable trust conducting field, literature and analysis-based geological research in sedimentary basins. Our origins date back to 1948 and the Cambridge Spitsbergen Expeditions. As a charitable trust, the results of our research are published in internationally renowned peer-reviewed scientific journals after a suitable delay.
Funding for our research comes partly from investment income and partly from industry subscriptions. Companies subscribing to CASP projects receive regular confidential reports and updates.
CASP’s staff of experienced post-doctoral field geologists possess a range of specialisms, as well as regional expertise, allowing us to deliver insights into key elements of sedimentary basin evolution. Find out how CASP can help you resolve critical uncertainties and help de-risk low-carbon and traditional energy activities.
