Associate researcher; PhD thesis in Systematics of the genus Caridina defended in October 2018; author of 10 publications; I am interested in freshwater crustaceans from a taxonomic as well as phylogenetic point of view, and more specifically in amphidromous shrimps of the genus Caridina (Crustacea: Decapoda: Atyidae) on which I started working in 2014 during my master studies. During my PhD, I participated to several scientific expeditions in New Caledonia in 2016-2017 and am involved in the FRESHBIO project focusing on freshwater biodiversity of Indonesia. My main focus as a WoRMS taxonomic editor is to keep the list of species up-to-date, as the taxonomy is changing quickly, and to provide data on type specimens and type localities, which are very important in the framework of integrative taxonomy. As I am an early carreer researcher still free from heavy responsibilities, I would have enough free time to contribute to the WoRMS Steering Committee. WoRMS is a widely used and appreciated tool in the scientific community, but I would like to help making it more visible to a broader audience, in order to be used by non-specialists in citizen sciences programs for example. | |
